New CD Releases Coming Your Way

Digital singles and mp-whatnots are all very well and good but nothing for us gets us excited like getting PROPAH RECORDS like in our grubby little hands. As such we are super excited to announce not one but three new CD releases all of which will be available very shortly.

The first is a limited edition CD run of TWIN PINES MALL amazing new album “Sporting Event” which should batshit Norwegian hardcore be your thing, you will no doubt love. If you just cant wait you can listen to the album on bandcamp for now.

Second up we are super excited about the release of SLEDDING WITH TIGERS heartbreakingly cute ep “The Arrested Cats” (Which I think Im right in saying is the first CD release of the record – certainly outside of the States). The CD will also feature a sneaky bonus track in the form of a live rendition of 10:46.

And finally we are also prepping a new label Sampler (entitled “Norwanglish” for which we thank Synee Eileen) and features a veritable va-va-voom of awesome new music. Tracklisting below. In the meantime keep your eyes and ears peeled on Twitter / FB etc for more details over the coming days:

So while in LA recently with Team Me, Mr Uno Moller recorded this rather beautiful live video of RIOTS with the bright lights of Los Angeles serving as a rather stunning backdrop.

RIOTS - Out Monday

Uno Mollers amazing new single RIOTS is released on Monday (March 5th). The single (which you can stream below) is already getting some wonderful support from the likes of The 405, Sloucherzine and Little Lion Girl and will be available through bandcamp, itunes, emusic etc etc.

Dont forget that next week also see's Uno's debut UK shows opening for Team Me. He plays London Lexington March 7th and The Haunt n Brighton the following night. I believe we got tickets might indeed have tickets.

Bloggers of the world unite

Greetings fine folk of the internet. As I write this, my cardigan has almost dried out, my tea is by my side and for the umpteenth time in the last few weeks I am listening again to the upcoming album by Mr Uno Moller.

To which end we thought we put out a little appeal to the bloggers of planet earth to see if any of you kind folk would be game for having a listen to said release and maybe letting the world know what you make of it. We do try and keep up to date with the blogs and new sites as much as we can but its not always easy with so many of them arriving online every day. And there's only a couple of us!

Uno Moller - New Single & Album Pre-Orders

So a couple of pieces of very exciting news about one Mr Uno Moller.

First up - as exclusively premiered on The 405 this week, The first single to be taken from the upcoming album is RIOTS (featuring Lucy Swann). The single will be released March 5th the weeks of Uno;s debut UK shows.

As if that wasn't enough we are now taking pre-orders for the upcoming album SILENT RIOTS. How the pre-order works is that er... pre-order it now (for the bargain price of just £5 in whichever digital format you prefer) and get 3 tracks now, the full album release will then be emailed to you on release date.

Uno recorded this session live in Solvor Vermeers flat in Oslo for us when we took Oliver 405 over for three days in the snow.

Thats right folks, to continue our celebration of Mr Uno Moller this week we have (in conjunction with the sexy beasts behind Brave or Invincible Records) made Uno's recent split ep with Tiny Cinema available for free download for a limited time.

The ep is a four track split with each act providing a new track and a cover of the other. There are some beautiful moments on there and we are really excited to be able to share it with you.

So we promised that we would be bringing you all manner of little treats this week to celebrate Uno Moller week and boy have we dug up a little treasure here.

You may or may not remember that when we released Uno's debut album "Songs from my beautiful colourball" we ran a treasure hunt that ran across ten different blogs in ten different countries on ten different days. It was awesome fun (and helped us to reach a lot of people" and the prize was an ep recorded especially by Uno for the winner.

Todays free exclusive download is a track from that ep that up until now has only ever been heard by us, Uno and the competition winner. Pretty cool huh?

Uno Moller Week - Day One: RIOTS

So on the spur of the moment we decided that this week we would dedicate to one of our favourite people and a long time Lazy Acre co-conspirator Mr Uno Moller. Each day we are bringing you live sessions, free tracks to download and other bits and pieces along the way.

Today we thought we would share with you this little video of Uno performing a live session for our Record Store Day celebrations this year. The clip features Marius from Team Me on the banjo and was recorded to celebrate the beautiful single that Uno released for Record Store Day RIOTS (featuring Lucy Swann)



The great thing about the Record Store Day single was that it was literally recorded, mixed and released in the space of about four hours, with Lucy Swann dropping over to record her vocals over breakfast. The track has become a firm favourite round Lazy Acre ever since and will feature on Unos new album to be released early January 2012.

News Updates: Stylusboy, yoB, Uno Moller & Tiny Cinema

So a few quick notes to catch you up on...

First up; our friends yoB take to the stage of the Good Ship this Sunday in aid of the Make a Wish foundation. The show is being organised by the lovely folks of Joyzine. The bill features the likes of Lupen Crook also and full details are available on Facebook.

Second up Stylusboy will be making a brief trip to Northampton next week (Fri Sep 2nd) to record some sessions and the like. The 'boy will be live on Inspiration FM at about 2.15 and then doing a quick chat and interview for the BBC Weekender which will be happening between 6 and 7pm the very same evening. Keep an eye on our twitter page for a reminder!

So we've been talking about it for a while and so we are very excited to finally announce the release of the split ep between Uno Moller and Tiny Cinema. A release bought to you by Lazy Acre and the sexy giants that run Brave or Invincible Records.

The EP is a four track split with each act turning in two songs; a new song each and a cover of the other artist. Theres some gorgeous moments on there. You can stream and download it below:

So Uno Moller played a beautiful set for us live from Oslo on Record Store Day. You can check the video out below! Lazy Acre Records celebrates Record Store Day

Ever a fan of jumping on the nearest bandwagon Lazy Acre Records will celebrate this weekends Record Store Day by not stepping foot out of its front door. See as a label that doesn't produce vinyl and has no artists within 500 miles of our nearest record store it made arranging some kind of happening rather difficult.

Instead Lazy Acre will celebrate by running a series of events and sessions in its own webstore throughout the day. Beginning at Midday on Saturday, Lazy Acre artists will be broadcasting live sessions and shows from across the globe. Kicking off with new signing Stylusboy (who will be broadcasting from the UK), the day will also take in acoustic sets from Uno Moller (live from Oslo) and Sajama Cut (live from Jakarta) before finishing off with a headline set from MyLittlePony who will be broadcasting from Vienna.

Its a truly international happening and one that will be accompanied by a series of limited time releases (including a new MyLittlePony single, a special edition Stylusboy single with "When I Argue I See Shapes" on the B-side, a UK release for "Paintings / Pantings" from Sajama Cut and a new Uno Moller release that is so secret we won't be announcing details until the day.)

These download singles will all be priced at £2 each (or £6 for them all) and will include videos, a copy of the latest Lazy Acre fanzine and some PC wallpaper. They will be available for 2 weeks from the day of release.

Throughout the course of the day there will also be competitions, video premier's, exclusive interviews and content and 25% off everything in the webstore.

Uno Moller new single out now!

Arriving completely out of the blue, Uno Moller has released a new 2 track single through his bandcamp page. The track "Creature Days" is a lovely slice of folksy goodness and Uno had this to say about it:

" Last week I wrote a song, for the only purpose to put it out on the internet the same day. Just like when I started. Then I thought. Why not just record one more, so then we have a new single for you. And so I did..."

Solvor Vermeer Live: TOMORROW

So what better way to use our 150th post on this 'ere blog than to let you know that SOLVOR VERMEER is playing live in Oslo tomorrow night. The show is the Norwegian live launch of her debut ep "The Beaming Light".

The show happens tomorrow night - Jan 25th - at Herr Nielsen. The show details are on Facebook here.
