Bellman - New Single
Bellman have a gorgeous new single "The Curse" out in a couple of weeks. The track (the title track from the bands awesome 2011 album) comes with two new b-sides in the shape of a remix of "Sleep Forever" and a live version of "The Curse" recorded live and acoustic on the bands recent tour of Korea.

New CD Releases Coming Your Way
Digital singles and mp-whatnots are all very well and good but nothing for us gets us excited like getting PROPAH RECORDS like in our grubby little hands. As such we are super excited to announce not one but three new CD releases all of which will be available very shortly.
The first is a limited edition CD run of TWIN PINES MALL amazing new album “Sporting Event” which should batshit Norwegian hardcore be your thing, you will no doubt love. If you just cant wait you can listen to the album on bandcamp for now.
Second up we are super excited about the release of SLEDDING WITH TIGERS heartbreakingly cute ep “The Arrested Cats” (Which I think Im right in saying is the first CD release of the record – certainly outside of the States). The CD will also feature a sneaky bonus track in the form of a live rendition of 10:46.
And finally we are also prepping a new label Sampler (entitled “Norwanglish” for which we thank Synee Eileen) and features a veritable va-va-voom of awesome new music. Tracklisting below. In the meantime keep your eyes and ears peeled on Twitter / FB etc for more details over the coming days:
Tracklisting for Norwanglish:
Bellman – The Curse
Uno Moller – Silent Speakers
Synee Eileen & The Sunbeams – Cuckoo
Twin Pines Mall – Car Crash Hands
Mischa Non Penguin – Fear of Assault
Steffan Galler - Smile
Stylusboy – The Whole Picture
Sledding with Tigers – The Kids Will Be Alright, Eventually.
Sajama Cut – Paintings / Pantings
Sunturns – Season Cyclics
And finally our dear friend Mr Stylusboy releases a new remix mini album this weekend to coincide with Record Store Day. The seven track ep is frankly awesomesauce and you will be able to get hold of it from his bandcamp. In the meantime here is a little sneak peek preview:

New VIMEO and TUMBLR channels
In a bid to get a little more "with it" (ie we dont have enough social media profiles to update) we have started a Vimeo page and a Tumblr page as well. Come follow us for more binary capers.
Among the videos on the Vimeo page is this rather cool little acoustic video that Bellman recorded for us on their recent UK tour:

Bellman - The Curse OUT NOW
So Bellmans new album THE CURSE is now available as either a digital download from the bandcamp page or via the webstore on CD. The CD version in particular we're pretty pleased with right now.
The guys have been on tour all week and have just added an extra date on Sunday 10th July at Bar Solo in Camden. You should go and see them. In other news Arne was interviewed on air for Inspiration FM and over here on The 405. Well worth a read. Look out for an interview on BBC Introducing in Northamptonshire next Friday as well. Between 6 and 7pm bbc.co.uk/northamptonshire.

Bellman - The Curse
So there will be more details on this release to follow but we wanted to let you know that we will be releasing the new album from BELLMAN shortly here in the UK.
We first saw Bellman live a few years back and were over the moon when they asked us if we would like to work with them to release their new album here in the UK.
There are loads more details to share with you (including some debut UK shows in the next couple of days as well) but for now we really wanted to share a track with you and so this is the lead track (and indeed title track) from the album for you to wrap your ears around.
Epic stuff.

A big thank you...

...To everyone who came out to our split showcase with How is Annie Records last week at ByLarm. It was a stressful evening but we enjoyed beautiful sets from Solvor, Bellman, Sjur and the Little Hands and Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson. A huge amount of fun.
There are some photos of the show up on our Facebook page here.
In the meantime thanks to the bootlegging skills of an as yet unnamed individual (please get in touch if you are reading this we'd love to see if you caught any thing else that night!) you can relive Youth Pictures set with this handy stream

So the reason then that we were in Oslo
So as you will have noticed (especially if you follow us on twitter) we spent the weekend in a very cold Oslo. And we had a blast - in the company of Oli from the 405. Although it should be stressed we were indeed working.
At what you ask? Well heres the awesome news. First up we took the 405 as in a couple of weeks we will be running a Lazy Acre Takeover on the site and jam filling it with all kinds of Lazy Acre goodness including interviews with Monzano and Bellman, a special edition of the My Favourite Records series, live acoustic sessions from Uno, Bellman and I See Horses and a whole load more.
We were also recording some content for a special show we are doing for BBC Radio Northamptonshire and 6music. The show on Northamptonshire will be a one hour lazy acre special with interviews, live tracks, more lazy tuneage than you know what to do with and plenty of waffling from yours truly. That will go out December 17th.
Oh and we also did some stuff for an oslo-centric insert for Tom Robinsons show featuring Team Me, Einar Stray and Sareena Maneesh.
Phew.
So things we learnt this week: How Monzano would survive a zombie apocolypse, How the norwegians are employing fembot style sirens to recruit new citizens, that solvor vermeer is a bad influence ("just one drink" to 630am bedtimes), that My Little Pony have literally JUST finished a new album, that Einar Stray is astounding live and that it is indeed possible to modestly wax £100 in 26 hours (8 of which you were asleep for!)
Also we learnt this morning that the kind folk of The 405 have gone and named Monzano in their eps of the year list. Alongside Sufjan Stevens and Dad Rocks! for two. Nice company I'm sure you will agree. You can check it out here anyway and for the hell of it why not check out All Scandinavians take on the Ep as well.

Catch Up
Apologies for the lack of updates this last week or so - things have been ever so slightly insane on the acre of late. The new Monzano EP is still continuing to gather some lovely reviews - indeed this last week or so has seen very kind words from the folks of the 405, eardrums, indie today and acuvi.
Also we are super excited to announce that the next installment of the Full Stop To Bad Pop campaign will be provided by acoustic led nord's BELLMAN who will release the "Spaceship! Move Slow" EP in early december on Lazy Acre. There are some beautiful moments on the record and even more on the bands new full length album THE CURSE which will be released on Lazy Acre around the time of By:Larm next year.
Heres an awesome video for the title track of the EP.
And finally the Acre was a place of unabashed excitement this week with the news that we are off to Oslo next weekend in the company of the fine folk of the 405. We are headnig over to record a load of interviews, sessions etc etc for some very special birthday takeovers that are happening with the405, BBC Northamptonshire and 6Music to celebrate turning a whole three years old shortly.
Its going to be immense and crazy busy but there will be lots of awesome stuff to fill you in on in the coming days.
Much Love
